I have found my perfect profession with a Photography For Little People franchise. From the minute my decision was made the support has been incredible.
Melanie’s expertise in photographing “ little people” is second to none. I learnt so much from working with her and watching her in action that she has given me confidence in my own ability to produce beautiful pieces of work in a safe, comfortable environment . She is a stickler for the safety of every child and that is evident in everything she does.
I was excited to drive home with all my new equipment and ready to get started with my own business. Photography For Little People is a family owned business and the support from the entire team is , constant, always available and totally aimed at my business success!!!……I can’t wait to get started as Photography For Little People by Sue – Reading
Finding the franchise, Photography for Little People came at just the right time for me! I was looking for something that I could fit in around my family and other commitments but was already tried and tested so I didn’t have to start from scratch.
The training is excellent, covers all areas practical photography skills including the safety aspects of Newborn photography, as well as comprehensive business management, with ongoing mentoring support.
The branding, website and marketing materials are all included giving you a fantastic platform to build on. Added to which you have the support of all the other franchisees to help when needed. And the best bit – I get to spend time with new babies and their families!
Although I was really excited to start training, I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t nervous. Would I learn everything in a week?
However, Melanie was great, she really put me at ease. I learned how to photograph using natural lighting & lights. I got to experience working with a varied age range from new born babies to a child who was 8 years of age. The training was enjoyable as it was really hands on, the only downside was that the week just flew.
I now know that I have made the right decision & I am looking forward to enjoying going to work in the future!!!!
The practical training is a mixture of “hands-on” and theoretical so that Melanie Armstrong (Director of Photography) ensures you understand the ‘why’ and ‘how’ relating to the various styles and basics of photography that typifies Photography for Little People and makes its products stand out from the rest.
Melanie allows you to follow your own creative ideas but will gently steer you towards a more effective way if that is necessary.Always there but does take that back seat at relevant times to allow your confidence to grow. As with any training, if you come through it confident and having enjoyed it then the trainer has done their job. Melanie did that in a personal and professional way.
London East and Essex franchisee
Its very exciting when all your hard work pays off. Being able to see how far I’ve come over the last couple of years and all the progress I have made in growing my franchise only encourages me to work closer with the franchise owners to grow my business to its full potential. Besides doing what I love, I very much appreciate the flexibility the franchise offers.
I knew I wouldn’t settle for a 9-5 job. I like to know I can manage my hours to fit around my family and lifestyle. Now I can proudly say this is one of the best decisions I have ever made!
East Anglia franchisee
Purchasing a franchise is an excellent idea when you compare how many franchises succeed and how many new businesses fail. My business was up and running very quickly.
I had all my marketing material, my section of the website and my Facebook page up in a matter of days following my initial training. This is the sort of activity that would take weeks, if not months if you are trying to do it on your own.
The other franchisees mean I joined a fantastic group of individuals with the same goal, and weekly mentoring has helped me build a fantastic foundation for my business. Oh and of course there’s all the baby cuddles!
Teesside and Sunderland franchisee
I love what I do. I love taking photographs. I love meeting people and building relationships that quickly turn into friendships. I love seeing the look on my clients face when I deliver their finished orders. I love the support that I receive from my mentoring sessions and the rest of the franchisees.
I have always loved taking photographs and had considered other photography franchises in the past but none seemed quite right.
When I came across Photography for Little People I loved that it was all about babies and families, and I especially liked the products. The fact that PLP do the hand and foot impressions as well as photographs is really great – its a special product that makes the company unique to the many other photographers out there.
The support and training looked good and I liked the fact that you get ongoing training and mentoring support once you have started your business. I love that PLP is a family run business- Jan and Melanie are really friendly and make you feel right at home straight away.
